One of the reasons I opted to come to the University of Wisconsin Marinette is because when I looked at the Professors degrees I noted that they were from prestigious schools.  Some of these schools were the University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, and Purdue.

UW-Marinette is close and convenient and very inexpensive compared to larger schools. More importantly, you can get to know any one of your teachers on a personal level. The faculty to student ratio and the small class sizes are wonderful! They really make it so much easier to learn.

My reasons for attending UW-Marinette are: #1 (most important) I can take classes and still keep my job. #2 classes are a little less expensive #3 there are some very top notch instructors (that know their students personally and the students are not just a number).

It is the (or one of the) least expensive schools in the UW system...which hey...the less money the better! (plus you get a lot more bang for your buck!)
- small class sizes so you're actually able to talk with your professors, and they will help you.
- I love the scenery...right on the bay...amidst many trees and wildlife.
- there's always something going on.
- I love the diversity of students. We have the highest percentage of international students in the UW system.

  1. It's nice to get your general ed. classes out of the way right way instead of waiting for everyone ahead of you to finish theirs, especially if you haven't picked a major yet.
  2. It's affordable
  3. More student professor and student to student interaction on and off campus.
  4. The lunch hour is nice because no one has class at that time and its a great time to meet new people.
  5. The location is great
  6. The facilities on campus such as the library, computer labs, math labs, writing labs, tutors are all accessible and easy to use at your convenience.
  7. The professors are great they are always there to lend a helping had when students are struggling with anything.
  8. The other faculty is great as well, especially when you need help with organizing classes and asking questions about what classes to take for what degrees and professions.
  9. There is a wide range of clubs on campus that do various things and are open for all students to try something new.
  10. The campus is close together and not so wide spread.

  1. I love the small size of this school!  You don't have to sit in a lecture with 300 students where all you are is a number to the professor.  I also think because of the small size, you can get to know people better, and it's not a threatening environment.
  2. You can get to know your professors.  They're so open and willing to help you out with pretty much anything.  They encourage you to visit their office anytime during office hours.
  3. The professors are GREAT!  :o)
  4. You can save money!  I think this is a huge plus for anybody!  This campus is a great start to a four year college, you can still live at home and not have to worry about paying housing fees and meal fees, and the tuition in general is much lower that most other colleges.
  5. I think it's a good place to help figure out what to major in if you're not sure yet.  The first two years of college are mostly general classes, but by taking these classes you are able to decide what areas you enjoy and those you don't.  It's nice that you don't have to declare a major right away!

  1. Being an international student, the small campus it helped me much to integrate myself into the American life, and get over the Cultural Shock.
  2. I know and I get to talk a lot with all the students which is an awesome experience.
  3. The students services staff is very SWEET, and eager to help anytime
  4. The Professors are always available to help me, and the relationship between students and professors is very close
  5. I adore my small classes, that are always open to discussions
  6. I LOVE my host family, and especially my host mom KAREN and I would not leave the family for another campus
  7. The place where the campus is situated is adorable and quite. And the view of the lake is awesome.
  8. I love my basketball team.
  9. I adore my science courses professors Pr. Paul Erdman, and Pr. Mahmoud Almanassra, Pr. Keith West
  10. I love my other courses professors Doug Larche, Prof. LaMalfa,

The Top Ten Reasons I’m Glad I Found UW-Marinette…

  1. I attended two other big-campus, big-name schools and on my third try found a perfect fit here at UW-Marinette!
  2. UW-Marinette would have been a great start. I know now that it would have been a pleasant and motivating transition where I could have made personal, lasting connections.
  3. The friendly and knowledgeable support and encouragement I receive is second to none.
  4. I can live at home, with my husband, staying connected with the people and things that matter most while getting a top-notch education that will take me places.
  5. A more dedicated or prideful faculty and staff can’t be found. Everyone here wants me to succeed and genuinely cares.
  6. No matter the season this homey little off-shore campus, surrounded by lush forest and a bubbling stream is breath-taking!
  7. I am impressed to find such qualified, experienced professors so passionate about their work, opening doors for their students.
  8. Smaller class sizes and access to additional help and resources really sets Marinette apart in my mind. I’ve been one student in a class of two-hundred and fifty before. My professor was the head of the department, the closest I ever got to meeting her was through her teaching assistants. I couldn’t imagine needing recommendations!
  9. I can be financially independent and manage my life as an adult confidently. It’s empowering—UW-Marinette provides the exact lifestyle I was looking for. There’s no other place better for me.
  10. Resources and opportunities galore—from academic advising and furthering education to recreational activities and extracurricular organizations UW-Marinette’s got it!
