Dr. Johnson has taught courses in the biological sciences at UW-Marinette since 1969. His doctoral thesis was on the small mammals of Isle Royale National Park. A long-time member of the Chappee Rapids Audubon Society, Dr. Johnson's interests include human population demography, conservation biology and environmental studies, especially the re-vitalization of the national Amtrak system. His most recent presentation is entitled “Humans as the Key Environmental Factor for Megacarnivores.” Previous educational efforts include being a member of a state-wide team to educate secondary and post-secondary educators about Global Change.
