George Hayes joined the athletic department in fall, 2005 followng his retirement in July, 2004, after 21 years as an administrative principal at Merryman Elementary School. He also taught 5-6 grade and was an assistant principal in the Pulaski area for 14 years. Hayes’ coaching experience includes the Marinette H. S. freshmen boys basketball team for 3 years and various other Marinette/Pulaski 4-8 grade basketball teams. For the past 9 years Hayes has served the community on the Marinette City Council and was the president for two years in 2003 and 2004. Hayes earned his bachelors degree in elementary education and masters degree in school administration from UW-Oshkosh and has taken post-graduate work at UW-Superior.

Jeff Sunstrom of Ansul is the assistant coach. Sunstrom has coached at K.I. Sawyer, Michigan, Marinette High School and Middle School, and at Garfield Elementary.
