September 27, 2004
The Community Forum series sponsored by the UW-Marinette Foundation will feature prof. Dan Kallgren on “Voting Rights Through the Years” Monday, October 4 at 7:30 pm.
Kallgren, who is an associate professor of history and political science, has taught at the campus since 1995. He presented his lecture on voting at the Fall Convocation for the students, faculty and staff held on September 22.
“We are pleased that Dr. Kallgren can repeat his presentation for the public in an evening timeslot,” said Foundation Executive Director, Connie Parkovich. “This is a timely topic.”
Several other forums are also scheduled in this series. On November 1, Dr. Doug Larche will speak on his year in Ukraine as a Fulbright Scholar. Dr. Wendel Johnson will present information on Isle Royale February 7. Prof. Jim LaMalfa will lecture on travelling west by Amtrak on March 7, and Dr. Dail Murray will share the results of her research on the Amish on April 4.
All forums will be held at 7:30 pm in M-117 of the Main Building. They are free and open to the public.
