Teens on the Bay perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” June 29 and 30
June 3, 2002
Time Warner Cable presents a Theatre on the Bay and UW-Marinette Continuing Education production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” adapted and directed by Jason Larche. The performance will take place at the Herbert L. Williams Theatre at UW-Marinette June 29 and 30 at 2 pm.
One of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a magical tapestry of interrelated stories. Six common folk trying to put on a play, four young people trapped in a lover’s rectangle, a royal wedding and impending doom, all surrounded and manipulated by fairy magic. Despite the best and worst of intentions, things go horribly awry and wonderfully aright in the span of one amazing night.
Craig Koller and Sara Bertagnoli will be seen as Nick Bottom and Titania. Koller, who will be attending eighth grade at Marinette Middle School, has had previous theatre experience appearing in plays such as “The Nutcracker” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” Bertagnoli has participated in TOB’s “Snow White,” “School House Rock,” “Peter Pan,” and “Alice in Wonderland.” She will be attending Menominee High School as a freshman this fall.
Tim DeMeuse and Alicia McCauley will play the roles of Oberon and Puck. DeMeuse was last seen as Peter Wheelie in TOB’s “Ganderland: A Mother Goose and Father Gander Musical.” He will be a freshman this fall attending Marinette High School. McCauley has appeared in various theatre performances including “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” and “Once Upon a Mattress.” She will be returning to Marinette High School this fall as a junior.
Other members of the cast include T. J. Bertagnoli, Laura Roberts, Audra LaPierre, Victoria Webber, Casey Mines, Ryan Dusso, Sara Behnke, Rachel Smith, Logan Poupore, Micah DeCleene, Lewis Arnold, Kevin Smith, Rianna DeCleene, Shannon Roer, Valerie Roer, and Sarah Monahan.
The TOB summer box office is currently open Monday through Friday from 4 - 6 pm and until curtain time on performance days. General admission tickets are $5.00. Look forward to seeing “The Tempest” July 27 and 28 at 2 pm, also performed by TOB’s Teens on the Bay for its Shakespeare Summer. Cal 715-735-4313 for reservations.
