Cast Announced for TOB's "Three Parts Laughter"

Theatre on the Bay has announced casts for “Three Parts Laughter”. Billed as an evening of three one-act plays, the trio takes a wry and comic look at “life, love, marriage and everything else” according to the director, William Shepard.

“The Diary of Adam and Eve”, an adaptation of a Mark Twain story, recounts with insightful humor the discoveries and disasters of humanity’s first couple. The cast includes Susan Heider as Eve, Don Peterlin as Adam and Doug Townsend as the Snake.

“Who Am I This Time?” by Kurt Vonnegut is a comedy about an insecure young man, searching for identity through participation in amateur theatricals. His real life personality is a blah, but when handed a script, and on the stage, he becomes the role he plays. When an equally shy young woman falls in love with him, she discovers how true love is often masked behind the roles we play. Cast members are Derek Berquist as Newt, Jim Bird as Harry, Mindy Peterlin as Helene. Other cast members include Barbara Bertagnoli, Alma Wolfe, Don Kaletka, Erin Cain, Collin Bourgeois, Bill Clyma and Carolyn McGuire.

“Diversions & Canker Sores” is a trio of short plays by Christopher Durang that examines the extremes of living, loving and dying in our world today. Cast members are Amanda Rhines, Alma Wolfe, Erin Cain, Doug Townsend, Jamie Kaster, Ricky Berlin, Mindy Peterlin and Don Peterlin.

The production is under the direction of William Shepard, visiting director for Theatre on the Bay. Performance dates are February 27-29 and March 5-7 at 7:30 pm at the Herbert L. Williams Theatre on the UW-Marinette Campus. Tickets will be on sale starting February 23 at 4 pm, with a special student price of $5 and $7; general admission $9 and $10. Box office hours are 4 - 6 pm and to curtain time on show days. Call 735-4313 for reservations.
