Request books and media resources from other UW System Libraries (4-year schools)
If you were not able to locate the item you wanted through searching the Online Library Catalog at the UW Colleges, you may request library materials from any of the four-year UW campus libraries including Madison and Milwaukee.
- After searching the Online Library Catalog at the UW Colleges and not finding the item, scroll to the top of the screen of the Online Library Catalog and click on the More Libraries button.
- From the drop-down screen at the upper right hand corner select All UW System/Universal Borrowing Libraries and click on Connect which is located at the bottom of the screen.
- Input your search term(s) and select the type of search: Title, Subject, Keyword or Author, and click on Search.
- The next screen will list the library catalogs you are searching. When each catalog is done it will display the word Done and the number of items found. It will run through the list twice so be patient.
- To display the list of items click on Show at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the title you are interested in and look for the word Available for checkout.
- Next, click on the Place Request button on the toolbar at the top of the page.
- A form will appear on the screen asking for your student ID number and your last name. Input the information and then click on the Login button.
- On the next screen "Request from another UW system library" will be highlighted, click on OK.
- The next screen will ask you to input your student ID number and to choose your pickup location. Input your student ID number and select UW-Marinette as your pickup location***If you fail to choose UW-Marinette as your pickup location the item will not be sent.
- Click on Submit Request.
- A message will appear on the screen notifying you if your request was successfully processed.
- You will be notified via email when the item you requested arrives at the UW-Marinette Library.
- If you are not able to locate the item you want in the UW System, you may place your request via ILLiad, the international interlibrary loan system.
