INTERLIBRARY LOAN SERVICES
ILLIAD
Illiad is an international electronic interlibrary loan system that you can use to locate and request journal articles and other materials not located through the University of Wisconsin's Universal Borrowing system.
Journal article procedures:
- Before making an ILLiad request, go to the Library Electronic Resources and Online Databases home page to find out if the article is available in full text format. Choose either Citation Linker or the Full Text E-Journals link and fill in the appropriate information. If the article is not available in full text, request the article through ILLiad.
- Login to ILLiad.
- Choose Article under New Request.
- When you are finished entering the data, at the bottom of the screen, click on Submit Request.
Requesting books, CDs or videos/DVDs:
- Before requesting a book, CD or video via ILLiad, check the UW Colleges Online Library Catalog to see if the item is owned by UW-Marinette or if you can borrow it via the UW System's Universal Borrowing. If the item is not owned locally or by any library in the UW Sysytem, request the item through ILLiad.
- Login to ILLiad.
- Choose Book/Movie/Music under New Request.
- When you are finished entering the data click on Submit Request at the bottom of the screen.
If you are having trouble with ILLiad, please contact the Library Staff at uwmnt.lib@uwc.edu or phone (715) 735-4306 or see the ILLiad FAQ.
Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
By choosing to log in to ILLiad, the user accepts the responsibility for observing copyright law.
