UW-Marinette Library – Connecting People with Ideas
Services
UW-Marinette Library serves the research needs of our students, faculty, staff and community with both scholarly print resources and state-of-the-art technology. The library is a user-friendly and student-focused facility featuring group study rooms, quiet areas, comfortable and traditional seating, beautiful views, natural lighting, public access computers and plenty of study tables. The library materials, technology and staff play a critical role in the college learning experience.
Librarians engage students in a friendly and comfortable manner making learning interesting, exciting, rewarding and fun. We provide access to credible, reliable and up-to-date resources. We work hard to make the library a welcoming and pleasant place to work, relax, read and study. It is a place for reflection, meditation, communication, debate and collegiate conversation. It is our mission to teach skills that will assist everyone in the pursuit of knowledge and life-long learning.
Reserve Collection
This collection, located behind the Circulation Desk, includes books, articles, and/or audio and videotapes for short-term reading or viewing as assigned by faculty. Since many students need to access a limited number of copies or materials, most checkout periods are for 2 hours. Overdue fines for reserve materials are $.25 per hour.
Circulation
The circulation period for books, CDs, records, videos, periodicals and pamphlets is three weeks. Fines for overdue materials are assessed at $.10 per day per item. Renewals are generally permitted and encouraged as necessary.
