Course Prerequisites
- Recent AutoCAD Course or current experience
- Successful completion of the Applications of Modern Shipbuilding Design course
- OR, Equivalent AMSD competency portfolio.
Course Description
This course is designed to provide the practical skills and knowledge that students need to become effective entry level HVAC modeling designers in a shipyard or marine design agency.
In this course, Learners will complete six Learning Plans in which they demonstrate their competence by:
- Interpreting a schematic
- Modeling parts and associated equipment
- Creating parts and fittings
- Assigning pipe runs to categories and systems
- Identifying interferences with structural and insulation parts
- Creating penetrations
- Creating spool drawings
- Creating arrangements drawings
- Managing revisions
