TUITION
Compare these tuition costs with UW-Marinette's.
Tuition and fees must be paid by the end of the second week of classes. Invoices are no longer mailed to students. Please check your Prism account on-line for the amount due and tuition deadline.
Students are required to pay a $100 Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD) each fall and spring semester, prior to registration. ATD is not a fee, but an advance payment applied to your tuition. The ATD is a financial commitment to pay tuition and fees to UW-Marinette. The ATD is refundable if you withdraw from classes prior to July 1 for fall term or prior to Dec. 1 for spring term. If you withdraw on or after those dates, you forfeit your $100 ATD.
Payments may be made at the campus Business Office, through the mail, or online at www.uwc.edu/prismhome. If mailing your payment, please allow adequate time to ensure delivery to the Business Office by the payment deadline. Please write your student I.D. number on your check. If you are expecting financial aid and it has not yet arrived, you must still make arrangements to pay your fees. Making this payment will not reduce the amount of aid you receive. In a very limited number of cases, your fee payment can be deferred until your aid arrives. If this is the case, it is important for you to contact Student Services.
The Business Office stopped accepting credit cards as a method of payment on August 4, 2003. You can, however, use them when paying tuition online. See your PRISM account at www.uwc.edu/prismhome for more information.
Fee Schedule
Tuition for Online courses is not part of the Tuition Plateau, that is, the tuition for online courses is in addition to tuition for other courses.

Online Course Tuition
The last day to register and pay for online courses is August 13 for fall and January 7 for spring, however online classes may fill with paid students earlier than these deadlines and unpaid students will be removed from the course. You don’t actually hold a seat in the course until your online tuition is paid in full. If Online courses are dropped, tuition is refunded according to the standard tuition refund policy. There is also a $60 non-refundable registration fee for each Online course. This fee is only refundable if the Online course is dropped prior to August 13 for fall and January 7 for spring. The Online courses are not counted towards the full-time plateau, i.e., they stand alone for tuition and fee purposes.
Audit fees
Wisconsin Residents Under age 60 - $53 per credit.
Wisconsin Residents age 60 and older - No fee.
Non-residents - $234 per credit.
Students may audit courses only with faculty approval. Audited courses do not count for degree credit. Students who take both credit and audit courses pay 100% of regular -per credit fee.
Partial Payment Plan
The Partial Payment Plan application is a contract with the University. It is a legal document and therefore, you must be 18 years old at the time of the signing. Proof of birth is required; a driver's license, birth certificate or other legal document showing birth date is needed. If a student is not 18 years or older, a parent or legal guardian must co-sign the document. If a student is 18 years or older, the student must sign the contract, the parent may not sign for the student.
The Partial Payment Plan application must be completed and brought to the Business Office by the end of the second week of classes. Download a copy of the Credit Agreement dates here. There is a down payment of $225 (includes a non-refundable $25 enrollment charge) payable when you sign the agreement. The remaining balance is divided into two equal payments. There is a late installment fee of $25 for each payment that is late. There is no grace period. Interest is charged at 1.25% per month on the outstanding balance after the last installment payment is due. Withdrawing from the university does not eliminate your legal financial obligation to pay the remaining installments.
Failure to pay your tuition in full or sign up for the installment credit agreement by the end of the second week of class will result in a $100 late fee.
Any student whose account goes into default will be responsible for all collection costs associated with the collection of the past due amount.
Tuition Reimbursement
Many area employers provide support for employees, and sometimes their family members, to attend college through tuition support, or tuition reimbursement programs. Although such programs vary from employer to employer, they include provisions for partial or full reimbursement for tuition and/or supplies after a degree credit course has been completed. Verification of enrollment and an official grade report are generally required.
Students are encouraged to check with their human resources department regarding any tuition support programs that may be available.
Withdrawal or Drops
If you must withdraw, you must officially withddraw by contacting the Student Services Office or you will owe full tuition and fees. Do not simply stop attending class(es). Registration for classes creates a financial liability and financially commits you to UW-Marinette.
