University of Wisconsin-Marinette

International Students

UW-Marinette has one of the longest-running and most robust international student programs of the 13 two-year UW Colleges campuses. Students have come from all over the world including countries in Asia, Europe and South and Central America to study for one semester or several years. Our campus is small, safe and welcoming as are the border cities of Marinette, Wisconsin, and Menominee, Michigan. The surrounding area of Wisconsin's north woods and Lake Michigan is stunningly beautiful.

Students may take English as a Second Language classes through the Continuing Education Office or enroll for academic classes leading to a degree.

If you are part of the Youth for Understanding program, housing is arranged with host families in the area.

If you are an independent student, apartments near campus are available. International students are active members of campus clubs and organizations and take opportunities to travel to other parts of Wisconsin and the US while they are here.

All international students must have an I-20 Visa to study at UW-Marinette.
