HOW TO APPLY
Here is a step-by step guide for applying to UW-Marinette
Step 1:
First, you need a high school diploma or a GED.
Step 2:
Ideally, you need 17 high school credits in English (4 units), Social Science (3 units), Mathematics (3 units), Natural Science (3 units), and electives (4 units). If you are lacking some of these credits, your application will be looked at holistically and a determination will be made.
Step 3:
Take the ACT or SAT (American College Test or Scholastic Aptitude Test) and have the scores sent to us. (The ACT or SAT is not required of students over 21 or special students.)
Step 4:
Fill out and send in a UW System application for undergraduate admission. You can find one at your high school guidance office, at our campus, or on the Internet at http://apply.wisconsin.edu. We'll let you know when you've been admitted. There is a $44 application fee.
Step 5:
Apply for financial aid. We'll be happy to help, if you'd like to stop by or call us. You can find the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Step 6:
After you're admitted, you'll take placement tests in English and math to determine which classes you'll need to take.
Step 7:
Meet with a UW-Marinette advisor who can help you plan your classes, discuss your transfer goals and talk about your expectations. Call or stop in anytime.
